Welcome to PaperFix AI. By installing or using the PaperFix AI iOS app (the “app”), you agree to these Terms.

1. What PaperFix is

PaperFix is a plain-language assistant. It uses AI to translate photos, screenshots, and PDFs of documents into easier-to-read summaries, deadlines, and next steps.

PaperFix is not legal, medical, tax, or financial advice. Nothing it produces should be treated as professional advice. For important decisions, please consult a qualified professional in the relevant field.

2. Accuracy and your responsibility

AI models can make mistakes, miss details, or misread blurry scans. You are responsible for verifying important information — amounts, dates, account numbers, eligibility, legal deadlines, etc. — directly with the sender of the document.
We do not guarantee that summaries are complete, accurate, or suitable for any specific purpose.

3. Not for emergencies

Do not rely on PaperFix in emergencies. If you face a medical, safety, or legal emergency, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional. PaperFix is not a substitute for emergency response.

4. Acceptable use

Don't upload documents you don't have the right to analyze.
Don't use the app to attempt to violate the rights of others.
Don't try to reverse-engineer or disrupt the service.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Future versions of PaperFix may offer paid subscriptions through Apple's App Store in-app purchases. When that happens, the price, billing cycle, and any free-trial terms will be shown to you before you confirm, and we'll update these Terms. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under their standard terms; PaperFix cannot process refunds directly.

Until in-app purchases are enabled, PaperFix may offer a free allowance of analyses (currently 3 successful analyses per install) and an Upgrade screen as a placeholder.

6. Privacy

Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. No warranty; limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including losses caused by reliance on a summary that turned out to be incorrect or incomplete.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, surfacing a notice in the app.
